Pitch Deck Review
It seems everywhere you look on the internet, some company or individual is spruiking a list of “top X pitch decks that got funded”, and using names like AirBnB et. al., as examples.
I don’t question that these decks worked for that particular Startup and Founder then. You simply can’t as a result of that fact deduce that it is still a valid format that VCs in particular expect to see.
You can purchase my suggested deck template from my product shop here.
However, I can also check your existing deck.
This service includes:
1. Scoring your deck using a VC template and providing you with a score, and explaining where your score sits – e.g. top 10% of decks, bottom 50% etc.
2. Provide brief comments on each slide – good and bad points – with suggested improvements if required
3. A 30-minute debrief call with James Spurway to discuss and explain the review findings
My team will take no longer than three working days to conduct the review, which means that you will receive my written report on the fourth business day after I confirm receiving your pitch deck.
Side note: I tell the founders I invest in and mentor that you need to have three versions of your pitch.
1. A 90-second “elevator pitch” in which you touch on the highlights.
2. A 5-6 slide pitch deck that covers for example only Problem-Solution-Traction-Team-Ask.
3. And a 12-ish slide version to use when you present (pitch) an investor online or in person.
You should also consider adding my Investor Pitching Review Technique product, as it rounds out your preparation in readiness to excel in your one-on-one investor meetings.
